SLCC Women’s Soccer Secures Decisive 4-0 Victory Over North Idaho College
Salt Lake City,UT – The No. 4 Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Women’s Soccer team continued it’s dominant form with a 4-0 shutout win against North Idaho College (NIC) on Wednesday, extending their notable season record to 13-1-2.The victory underscores the Bruins‘ position as a force in the Scenic West Athletic Conference and builds momentum heading into the postseason.
SLCC had already clinched frist place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference last week with a win over Truckee Meadows, solidifying their status as conference champions. This latest win against NIC demonstrates the team’s consistent ability to control matches and find the back of the net, particularly in the second half. The Bruins’ success is fueled by a balanced attack and a strong defensive presence, setting the stage for a deep run in upcoming tournament play.
The scoring began in the 55th minute with a goal from Sophie Eckery, her ninth of the season. Lila Millward quickly followed with two goals of her own,finding the net in the 63rd and 71st minutes,both assisted by Natalie Shober.Shober then capped off the scoring in the 74th minute with a powerful strike, assisted by Seanna Harris.
Goalkeeper Elle Rafajko secured the clean sheet for SLCC, making three crucial saves throughout the match.
