Pokémon Pocket Announces “Mega Ascension” Expansion, Launching on Game’s Anniversary
Pokémon Pocket is gearing up for its largest expansion yet, “Mega Ascension,” set to release October 30, 2025 – coinciding with the game’s anniversary. The new set will feature three distinct booster lines themed around Mega Gyarados, Mega Brasegali, and Mega Altaria, harkening back to the title’s first-ever expansion.
“Mega Ascension” aims to revitalize the Pokémon Pocket experience with exclusive Pokémon within each booster type. early previews showcase Mega-Scarabrute EX alongside Mega-Brasegali, Mega-Absol EX challenging Mega-Gyarados, and Mega-Pharamp EX appearing with Mega-Altaria. Beyond Mega Pokémon, the expansion will introduce new Trainer cards like Flora and Atalanta, various versions of couafarel, the Poodle Pokémon, and rare Illustration cards.
The expansion’s boosters will feature artwork of the three Mega Pokémon announced at the World Championships. While the full card list remains unreleased, a trailer reveals a glimpse of the new additions coming to Pokémon Pocket. Trainers are encouraged to save their Hourglass boosters in anticipation of the launch.
