‘Bachelorette‘ Alum DeAnna Pappas‘ Ex Receives Child support Modification as uber Driver
Former “Bachelorette” star DeAnna Pappas and her ex-husband, Stephen Stagliano, finalized a child support modification on June 25, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. The judge granted Stagliano’s request, eliminating his child support obligation to Pappas due to his diminished income while working as an Uber driver. The decision concludes a contentious period for the former couple, who publicly battled over finances following their 2018 divorce.
The modification stems from Stagliano’s inability to maintain a stable income after losing his previous employment. He argued in court filings that he hadn’t “secured a stable or sufficient source of income,” necessitating a reassessment of his child support payments. Pappas initially opposed lowering the support, citing her own recent job loss and financial strain. This ruling impacts both parents as they navigate co-parenting their children amidst evolving financial circumstances.
Court documents reveal Pappas, 43, was earning over $16,000 monthly before being laid off from her flight attendant position with a california-based company in June. Stagliano, 41, sought the modification after taking on work with Uber to make ends meet.
Pappas continues to search for another flight attendant role while simultaneously launching a new podcast, according to reports. Previously, Stagliano claimed he owed Pappas $23,000, a figure she disputed. The latest court decision reflects a shift in the financial dynamic between the two, acknowledging Stagliano’s current employment situation.
