Astra Nova Launches Buyback & Bounty Program Following $10 Million Hack
October 20, 2025 - Web3 AI platform Astra Nova is responding to a recent $10 million hack wiht a two-pronged approach: a token buyback initiative and a 10% bounty program for the return of stolen assets. The project confirmed it was the victim of an external breach, dismissing suggestions of internal misconduct amid broader market skepticism following a recent crypto downturn.
The hack, which impacted the RVV token, prompted concerns about liquidity and investor confidence. Astra Nova announced plans to repurchase the same quantity of RVV tokens affected by the breach, aiming to stabilize the market and reassure holders. Simultaneously, the team launched a bounty program offering a 10% reward to anyone who returns the stolen funds to a designated recovery address, stating they will forgo legal action upon full restitution.
“What kind of hacker would convert stolen assets into USDT and hold it, and transfer it directly to CEX? USDT can be frozen, and where is the hacker going directly to CEX, such a foolish hacker,” commented amber CN on X (formerly Twitter).
Astra Nova emphasized a desire for a peaceful resolution. “Once the full amount is returned to the confirmed recovery address shared on official channels,no further action will be taken and the reward will be transferred after verification by the forensics team,” the project stated.
The buyback fund and bounty program are intended to mitigate the impact of the hack and restore trust in the platform. Details regarding the recovery address and verification process are available through Astra Nova’s official channels.
