Free also integrates smart assistant technology into the living room. Subscribers who purchase a Samsung Smart TV through Free recieve a free update incorporating “Copilot,” microsoft’s intelligent assistant. Copilot responds to voice commands, provides program information, offers personalized recommendations, and simplifies content search within the TV.
Future Innovations on the Horizon
Free is actively developing further enhancements for its TV decoders, particularly the Pop and ultra models. Potential upgrades include a Bluetooth input for streaming music directly from smartphones, as well as compatibility with AirPlay, google cast, and Spotify Connect. These additions would streamline audio and video playback from both iOS and Android devices, creating a more universal and intuitive multimedia experience.
Additionally, Free is exploring the integration of a native screen mirroring function via the Freebox Player, simplifying the sharing of photos, videos, and other content during gatherings with family and friends.
While the implementation and timeline for these features remain unconfirmed, Free is actively gauging subscriber interest through surveys, demonstrating a commitment to continually improving its entertainment offerings.
