Keaton passed away Saturday, and the death certificate indicates she had been cremated with no autopsy performed. Los Angeles fire department personnel responded to an emergency call from Keaton’s residence Saturday morning, transporting one individual – confirmed by police sources to be the actress – to a hospital.
Throughout a career spanning decades, Keaton garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards, including an Oscar for her performance in Woody Allen’s “Annie Hall.” She became a beloved figure in American cinema, celebrated for her distinctive style and versatile acting range.
Director Nancy Meyers, a freind of Keaton’s for 40 years, shared a tribute on Instagram, describing the actor as “fearless and unique.” Meyers wrote, “She was born to be a movie star, her laugh could make your day better, and for me knowing her and working with her changed my life.”
