Trainers, prepare for a party! Pokémon GO is throwing a party to commemorate the launch of Pokémon Legends: ZA on the Nintendo Switch family of systems.The Pokémon Legends: ZA event begins Thursday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. and runs until Monday, October 20, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
This event offers increased Mega Raid opportunities and the chance for Meganie, Impergator, and Flambrex to learn exclusive Charged Attacks. Evolving Lorleaf will yield a Meganie capable of using Flora Statue, while Tyracroc’s evolution into Impergator grants access to Aqua Howitzer. Piglet’s evolution into Flambrex will unlock Blaze Cannonade. These special attacks can also be learned via Charge TM during the event.
A new, limited-time Special Research storyline will be available, offering XP, candies, a Knursp, and encounters with Endive, Karnimani, or Floink-potentially even a dazzling specimen! The first Partner Pokémon selected will also have a higher chance of appearing with Daily Adventure Smoke.
Please note that this Special Research must be completed by Monday, October 20, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time to claim all rewards.
To mark the occasion and celebrate the fashion-forward illumina City featured in Pokémon Legends: ZA, new avatar items will be available for free in the in-game shop, and will remain available after the event concludes. These include:
