Cardon Rehabilitation Expands to Kinston, NC – 20 New Jobs Created

Cardon Rehabilitation & Medical⁣ Equipment to Bring 20 Jobs to Kinston, NC with $4 Million Investment

Kinston, NC ⁣ – Governor Josh Stein today announced that Cardon Rehabilitation & Medical‍ Equipment USA,‌ LLC, a ‌Canadian manufacturer of customizable powered treatment tables and exercise ⁣equipment, will establish its U.S.⁤ headquarters ‍and manufacturing facility in Kinston, North Carolina. The project represents a $4​ million⁣ investment‍ and will create 20 new jobs in Lenoir County.

Cardon Rehabilitation & ​Medical ‌Equipment, ⁣celebrating its 50th year in the‍ healthcare equipment industry, ⁣chose North Carolina to support its growing U.S. customer base. The company will ‌operate a 60,000-square-foot facility in Kinston, focusing on scaling production and ⁤fostering a ​positive workplace culture.

“North Carolina continues to⁣ be⁤ a top choice ⁢for companies that value innovation, talent, and possibility,”‍ said ⁤Governor Stein.‌ “cardon’s investment in Lenoir County is a win for our ‍state’s manufacturing sector and a testament‌ to the strengths of our communities and ‌workforce.”

Mardig Sevadijian, CEO of Cardon ​Rehabilitation ⁢& Medical Equipment USA, LLC, expressed excitement about joining the Kinston community. “We⁢ are honored to become part of the kinston community, and we look ‌forward to growing together-toward a future defined by innovation, opportunity, and shared success.”

The new positions will offer an average ⁣annual salary ⁣of $48,965, aligning with the ‍Lenoir county average of $48,683, and are projected to generate an annual payroll impact of over $979,000 for the ​region.

The project was facilitated in part by a $60,000 performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund,which requires companies to meet job creation and investment targets to receive funding. Local​ government matching participation is also required.

Local leaders welcomed the announcement. N.C. Senator Bob Brinson stated,⁤ “Cardon’s decision to invest in Lenoir County is ⁢a strong endorsement ‍of our region’s skilled workforce ⁢and‌ business-ready infrastructure.” N.C. Representative chris ‌Humphrey ​added, ⁤”These new jobs are signs‌ of Lenoir County’s continued progress and potential.”

Key partners in​ the project included the North ⁤Carolina Department of Commerce, ⁣the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, the North Carolina General Assembly, the⁢ North Carolina community ⁣College System, Lenoir Community College, North Carolina’s Southeast, North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region, Electricities, Lenoir ⁣County, and the Lenoir County Development Alliance.
