Seoul Buddhist Graduate School Hosts ‘Today’s Buddha‘ Fall Festival Focused on Mindful Healing

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – Seoul Buddhist graduate‍ School is hosting ‘Today’s⁣ Buddha,’ a fall⁤ festival designed to explore the‌ intersection​ of ‌Buddhist principles, mindful practices, and ⁣modern healing modalities. The event,‍ currently underway, offers a diverse program of‍ workshops, lectures, and performances aimed ⁤at students and⁤ the wider community.

The festival underscores a⁢ growing national interest​ in holistic well-being and the integration of‍ ancient wisdom⁢ with contemporary therapeutic techniques. Seoul‍ Buddhist ‍Graduate school positions itself at the forefront of this‍ movement, training⁤ “integrated healing ‍talents‍ who practice wisdom and‍ compassion,” according to the university. Students of⁢ Buddhism and meditation can ​participate in ‘Love Tea Meditation’ and ‘Singing Bowl meditation,’ while those in transpersonal⁤ counseling can explore ‘Crystal⁤ Purification Experience’ and ‘Unconscious Mind through Hypnosis.’ Counseling psychology majors have access to a ‘Writing ⁢Photo Studio,’ brain and cognitive science ‍students can engage in ‘Left Brain and Right Brain Brain Wave‍ Measurement,’⁤ and‍ integrated healing⁣ majors can experience ‘body Soom Mom.’⁢ ⁤ Creative expression‍ is also highlighted with⁢ workshops like ‘Mandala⁣ Keyring Making’ and ‘Eco Bag Decorating Experience’ for art therapy students,and ‘My Ring Yoga Experience’ and ‘Chakra Yoga Meditation’ for yoga therapy majors.

Notably, ‌the festival includes a tai ⁢Chi experience led by Director Jeong ‍Won-seok, continuing the‍ tradition of the ‍practice, and a ⁣special lecture on ‘Exploring awareness’ by Dr.Hee-young‌ Ahn, a leading figure in Korean MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction).

The‌ festival will culminate in a student talent showcase, ⁤”King of Liberation Singer,” offering a vibrant display of passion and skill from ⁤across ⁣the university’s diverse student body.
