Street Fighter 6 Receives Balance Adjustments for C. Viper, Manon, Ryu, Terry, and Zangief

Capcom ⁢has released a new update for Street Fighter 6 addressing‍ several character-specific issues and adjustments, impacting players of C. Viper,⁣ Manon, Ryu, Terry, and Zangief. Teh patch, deployed ‌today, focuses on refining move ⁢scaling, input buffers, cancel timings, and unintended ⁢behaviour within the game’s mechanics.

These updates aim to improve ‍the competitive integrity of Street Fighter 6 and address player ⁤feedback regarding specific character interactions and control schemes. The changes range from correcting chip damage ‌values to modifying input commands for special moves, notably within the game’s Modern⁤ control scheme. Players utilizing‍ these ⁢characters will ⁣find adjustments to combo potential, move execution, and overall strategic options.

Key updates by Character:

* C. Viper: ‍ Scaling‍ issues with her regular and boosted attacks have been resolved. Previously, only⁤ the second attack of each⁢ version received the intended 20% initial scaling, and only the second attack⁣ during⁢ a combo received ⁤20% combo scaling. Both issues have been corrected.

* Manon: ⁤Modern control users experienced unintended inputs when⁤ attempting to cancel Renversé into Super Art 3. To address this, the input for Renversé (Feint) has been changed from Special (hold) to Light attack (hold), and the command for Grand Fouetté is now Medium Attack instead of any⁢ attack button. The input buffer time for Renversé Feint before recovery has also been increased.

* Ryu: The chip⁤ damage dealt by‍ ryu’s Overdrive Hadoken (Denjin Charge) to opponents in Burnout has been corrected from 400 to the intended value of⁤ 200.

* Terry: ⁣Adjustments have been made to the cancel timing for Terry’s Overdrive Rapid Burn, limiting Super Art 2/3 cancels to only the second active frame of the second‌ attack. This resolves an issue where⁣ the ⁢first‌ active frame of the second attack ⁢would ⁤not reach the opponent, preventing the Super Art⁤ from connecting in a combo.

* Zangief: ‍A fix has been implemented for Modern control users, ensuring that Double Lariat is performed instead‌ of‌ a normal throw when pressing ⁢three attack buttons ⁣together while in Burnout.
