Pokémon Go Overhauls Leveling System, Introduces Adventure Egg & New Rewards
Pokémon Go has launched a major update introducing a revamped leveling system, new avatar rewards, and a daily “Adventure Egg” offering both Pokémon and experience points. This marks the most notable change to the game’s progression in years, addressing long-standing player feedback regarding storage limitations and reward scarcity at higher levels.
The update automatically grants players an Adventure Egg upon their first login each day.This egg incubates with 1 km of walking and, unlike standard eggs, doesn’t occupy space in the player’s egg bag. Hatching the Adventure Egg yields a pokémon and 10,000 experience points. The specific Pokémon available from the adventure Egg have not yet been disclosed.
Alongside the Adventure Egg, the update focuses on expanding storage capacity as players level up.Increases to the limits for Pokémon, items, postcards, and gifts will be applied, with retroactive benefits for existing players. While the exact level thresholds and storage increases remain officially unconfirmed, recent leaks have provided unofficial details.
New avatar items are also tied to leveling milestones, offering players cosmetic rewards as they progress:
* Level 25: Pokéball cap
* Level 30: Pokéball Shoes
* Level 35: Pokéball Jacket
* Level 40: Superball cap
* Level 45: Superball Shoes
* Level 50: Superball Jacket
* Level 55: Hyperball cap
* Level 60: Hyperball Shoes
* level 65: Hyperball Jacket
* Level 71: Level 71 Shoes
* Level 73: Level 73 Sunglasses
* Level 75: Level-75 Pants
* Level 77: Level-77 Pose
* Level 79: Level 79 Hairstyle (short) and Level 79 Hairstyle (Long)
* Level 80: Level-80 Jacket
Players will no longer be able to obtain previously available avatar items upon leveling up; however, any items already acquired will be retained.
a new bonus has been implemented for players at Level 70 and above. Trainers who have reached ”Best Friends” status with another player will experience an increased chance of becoming “Lucky Friends” and receiving a Lucky Exchange.
