KEARNEY, Neb.- ‌Kearney Public Schools (KPS) is currently addressing a significant ‌cybersecurity incident that compromised it’s‍ technology network this past Friday. despite the technical challenges, KPS has assured the community that classes will ‍proceed as scheduled. However,⁣ parents and guardians should be aware that phone and ‌email⁣ interaction with the schools will‍ be temporarily disrupted. Anyone needing to contact a school directly is asked to do so in person.

Instruction ‌will continue, but the use of digital⁢ learning tools will ‌be limited until‍ the network is fully‌ operational. The district ⁣acknowledges the⁢ inconvenience this may cause and has expressed gratitude‍ for the community’s patience and understanding.

“We understand this may cause inconvenience and appreciate your patience and support as we work‍ through this situation,” a KPS spokesperson stated. “Please know that the safety and security of our⁤ students, staff, and data‌ remain our highest priorities.”
