This latest surgery comes after Woods experienced pain and limited mobility, prompting consultations with doctors and surgeons. the scans revealed a collapsed disc at L4/5,along with disc fragments and a compromised spinal canal. “I opted to have my disc replaced yesterday, and I already know I made a good decision for my health and my back,” woods stated. The surgery underscores the ongoing physical challenges Woods has faced throughout his career, impacting his ability to compete consistently.
woods’ history with back issues dates back to April 2014, eventually leading to a spinal fusion in 2017. Remarkably, he returned to form after the fusion, winning the 2018 Tour Championship and the 2019 Masters, his 15th major championship.However, his recovery has been repeatedly tested by subsequent injuries.
In February 2021, Woods suffered severe leg injuries in a car crash, nearly resulting in amputation. He made a courageous return to competition at the 2022 Masters,but has as played sparingly. As the accident, he has participated in only 15 tournaments over the past four years, with four appearances at the PNC Championship, where he is permitted to use a cart.
