‘Real Housewives of Potomac‘ Star Wendy Osefo adn Husband Arrested on Fraud Charges
potomac, MD – “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Wendy Osefo and her husband, edward Osefo, were arrested Thursday and booked on 16 charges, including seven felonies, related to alleged insurance fraud, Maryland authorities confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Osefos are accused of filing false claims with their insurers following an April 2024 burglary at their home, allegedly fabricating theft of luxury items to inflate the value of the claim. The alleged fraud exceeds $300. This case adds to a growing list of legal issues involving cast members across the Real Housewives franchise.
the couple was released Friday on a $50,000 bond. Wendy Osefo also faces a misdemeanor charge for allegedly making a false statement to a police officer. Future court dates have not yet been announced.

osefo joined real Housewives of Potomac in 2020.The Bravo reality TV franchise has seen several cast members face legal challenges. Teresa Giudice of The Real Housewives of New Jersey served 11 months in jail for bank and bankruptcy fraud, while Jen Shah of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is currently serving a 6.5-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in July 2022 and is scheduled for release in late 2026.
