Pristina, Kosovo – A nine-year-old karate student from Pristina has struck gold, winning first place at the ‘Hope of Kosovo’ tournament hosted by the Kosovo karate Association this September. The young athlete’s victory marks a significant achievement in his burgeoning martial arts career, demonstrating dedication and skill beyond his years.
Noari,as he is known, has already competed in karate tournaments across all cities in Kosovo, consistently honing his technique. His recent success at the ‘Hope of Kosovo’ tournament wasn’t simply about winning; it underscored a rigorous training regimen of kata and supplementary exercises undertaken throughout the week leading up to the competition. “I have taken part in numerous competitions in different cities of Kosovo,” he stated. “I was particularly impressed by the last one…where I took first place.”
The tournament saw Noari competing against fellow karate students from across the country. Despite the pleasant rivalry,he believes his planning gave him an edge. Inspired by martial arts legends Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, whom he cites as his favorites, Noari aspires to represent Kosovo on the international stage. “Ever since I saw them, I always wanted to be like them,” he explained.
He emphasizes the importance of participation, even in defeat. “Sometimes, even if you don’t win, you have to be happy about participating,” Noari said, displaying a maturity that belies his age. He currently shares his passion for karate by teaching techniques to others, furthering his commitment to the sport.
