The examination follows recent security enhancements at the park.Clark County officials recently announced the installation of gates at all six vehicle entrances to reinforce park hours – open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. – and address overnight safety concerns.
“These new gates will help to ensure that activities that challenge the safety of the park in the overnight hours are mitigated as much as possible and represent another resource the County has put in place to increase park safety for the betterment of our community,” stated Commissioner Jim Gibson.
Despite the ongoing investigation, the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival, scheduled to begin Friday at Sunset Park, will proceed as planned, according to a festival spokesperson.
