Arturo Gatti ⁢Jr.,the son of the ‍late boxing ‍champion Arturo Gatti,has died,according⁢ to reports⁢ Wednesday. He was ‌17​ years old.

The⁣ tragic news‌ was confirmed by Moe Latif, ⁤who reportedly coached Gatti Jr., in an Instagram Story. “it is​ unfortunately not a​ rumor or a joke,” the message read. “Artruro is gone.I’d appreciate if‌ you stop reaching out at this time.” The circumstances surrounding his death are currently unclear, with TMZ reporting Wednesday that ‍”it’s not clear if‌ foul play⁤ is suspected.”

Gatti Jr.is the son of Arturo Gatti, ‌a ⁣celebrated Canadian boxer who held world ‍titles in the International Boxing Federation and the World Boxing council. ⁢Gatti Sr.was found​ dead in July 2009 at the‍ age of 37 in Brazil, a case initially investigated as a potential homicide before authorities steadfast he had hung himself, according to ESPN.​ His wife, Amanda⁣ Rodrigues Gatti, was initially a suspect but later ⁣released.
