Surabaya Goes Pink 2025: AHCC & Lovepink Partner for Breast Cancer Awareness

Surabaya to Host 2025 Indonesia goes Pink Launch with Focus on ‌Early Detection

Surabaya has ⁤been selected⁤ as the inaugural ⁢city for the 2025 Indonesia Goes​ Pink (IGP) campaign, a nationwide movement ⁣dedicated to ‍breast cancer awareness and support. ⁢The ⁤event, themed “Living in Abundance:‍ Running ​Together, Inspiring ‌Hope,”⁢ will be spearheaded by a collaboration between the Adi Husada⁣ Cancer Center (AHCC) and the Lovepink​ community.

Indonesia Goes ⁣Pink, held annually in October, aims⁣ to​ educate the public and⁢ provide moral ⁣support to those affected by breast cancer.The Surabaya ​launch signifies a commitment to fostering unity and optimism as the campaign expands to othre cities. AHCC will serve as ⁢an official partner, concentrating on prevention and early detection initiatives.

The event, scheduled for 05:30 to ⁢09:00 WIB at the Mercure Surabaya Grand Mirama Hotel and the Darmo car Free day area, will feature a Funwalk, a​ Zumba ⁣session, a realize dance for active lifestyles, and educational talk shows.

Dr.​ Ni Made saraswati,AHCC Center Manager,will ⁣be a featured speaker,emphasizing the ‍importance of early​ detection. “Breast cancer is a‌ disease whose healing rate is very high if it is indeed⁣ detected at the‌ initial stage. Through Indonesia Goes Pink ​2025, we ⁣want to convey a strong message that ⁣early detection is key,” she stated. Her talk will ​specifically address Breast ​Self-Examination (BSE) and Clinical Breast Check (Sadanis) as proactive prevention methods.

Dr. Silvia Haniwijaya,General Manager of AHCC,highlighted the impact of​ this collaborative effort. “Community stigma of​ breast cancer often inhibits screening. No need to be afraid of screening. In fact,the faster it is known,the higher the chances of success in handling,” she explained.

AHCC is encouraging residents of Surabaya to participate in the‌ event,‌ demonstrating solidarity and a shared commitment to a healthier‌ Indonesia.
