Lot-et-Garonne Hosts Diverse Events for 36th Mental Health Awareness Week
lot-et-garonne is actively participating in the 36th annual Mental Health Awareness Week with a series of events throughout October designed to promote well-being and foster community connections.
A key event will be held on Saturday, October 11th, at the Barleté village hall, featuring a festive afternoon centered around the theme “to make social ties, comes to share your snack with everyone.”
Several organizations are opening their doors to the public. GEM AAPI, a mutual aid group in Agen, will be accessible on Friday, october 10th, while the young consumers consultation service will be available on Wednesday, October 8th, at 49, rue des Cornières. Addressing workplace stress, psychologist-clinician Pierre Bordaberry will present a conference, “Under pressure? Let us open the dialog of mental health at work,” at La Serre on Thursday, October 9th, at 7 pm, in collaboration with the young economic room.
Cultural events are also planned. the cinema Les Montreurs d’Images will screen the film “Eredità” to raise awareness about Diogenes syndrome, with director Jean-Luc Cesco in attendance. The Hang’art association will host a unique “living library” experience on Saturday, October 18th, where attendees can “borrow” a person and hear their story.
In the Marmandais region, an ephemeral exhibition will be on display until October 10th at the Mutual Aid Group La Maison Arc-en-Ciel de l’Ait in Virazeil. A film debate featuring the documentary “Women, entirely women” will take place on October 17th at 8:30 p.m. in Tonneins, with director Philippe Baque and Sophie Duclos, a nurse specializing in psychiatry and mental health, participating.
Villeneuve-sur-Lot will dedicate an entire day to mental health on Thursday,October 9th,from 4 p.m. to midnight, at the Maison de la Vie Associative, offering workshops in sophrology and plantar reflexology, discussions on workplace malaise, health sports, and a shared dinner aperitif.
