Valencia,Spain – The international University of Valencia (VIU) and the SERPRECOVA ASSOCIATION have partnered to launch a new chair dedicated to workplace prevention and well-being. The initiative aims to bolster applied research, knowledge sharing, and training in occupational safety and health.
VIU Dean Julia Martínez Cadado emphasized the collaboration’s goal to “contribute academic rigor to the service of society,” facilitating open access to resources and projects focused on labor well-being. Nuria Pastor Ramos, president of Serprecova, highlighted the crucial “synergy between university and business” in translating research into “practical and innovative solutions” addressing the real needs of businesses.
The chair will concentrate on areas including Organizational Psychosociology, Hygiene and occupational safety, especially as they relate to challenges posed by Digitization, Robotics, and Big Data. It will also foster collaboration with other academic institutions, recognize outstanding scientific work, and provide educational programs, workshops, and seminars for professionals, managers, and future specialists in the field.
