Baker’s television appearances have decreased substantially in recent⁤ years. Her last match took place in November 2024, marking a year‌ with only five total AEW in-ring competitions – a stark difference from her breakout year in 2021,‍ when she secured the ‌AEW Women’s ‌World Championship and wrestled in 30 matches. Despite the reduced ‍schedule, Baker has repeatedly stated her ⁢intention to return to the ring.

Addressing her status directly in August, ⁢she confirmed her plans to wrestle again. AEW President Tony Khan has also commented‌ on her absence,‌ expressing his regard for Baker and indicating her return will coincide with the right creative opportunity. Reports have also surfaced‍ regarding backstage matters involving Baker.

The current AEW women’s division features a new generation of stars, with Kris Statlander as the AEW Women’s World Champion and Mercedes Mone holding ‌the ⁣TBS Championship. Baker’s message reflects⁤ a ⁣focus ⁤on the positive support⁢ she receives‌ from fans as she navigates her time away from active competition.
