tajani Reassures Italy, While Drone Activity Continues in Denmark and Attacks Escalate in Ukraine
Updated a minute ago – Amidst heightened European tensions, Italian Defense Minister guido Tajani reassured the public, stating, “Putin has an unacceptable aggression, but I don’t think he wants to attack Italy. However, our aerial defense is always alert and careful. The efficiency of the Air Force is always high, the Italians can be calm.” This statement follows warnings from Ukrainian President Zelensky that Italy could become a target for Russian drones.
The reassurance comes as reports surface of continued drone activity across Europe. Denmark’s defense website confirmed that drones were sighted near multiple military locations during the night. Several resources have been deployed.” This marks the second consecutive night of reported drone sightings near Danish military sites. In response to the escalating situation, Denmark has prohibited all civil drone flights this week in anticipation of the upcoming EU summit, as announced by the danish Ministry.
Simultaneously occurring, Russia claims to have targeted military objectives in Ukraine overnight.the russian Ministry of Defense announced a “massive attack” targeting companies within the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
Further escalating the conflict, a large-scale drone attack hit Kyiv, involving 595 drones, resulting in four deaths and six injuries. Poland has reportedly increased its air defense readiness. Russia also claims to have intercepted 41 Ukrainian drones during the night.
