CSKA Sofia: Yanev Releases Analyst Martin Stoyanov

CSKA ‌Sofia analyst Martin Stoyanov has been ‍released from ​his position with the​ frist team, effective​ immediately, according to reports ‌from Telegraph Match.The move ⁢comes ⁣from newly appointed ⁢head ⁤coach ⁣Hristo ⁢Yanev, who intends⁤ to have his own staff handle analytical duties.

Stoyanov⁤ will remain within the club, transitioning to​ a role ‌at the CSKA academy. This personnel shift marks an early move by Yanev as he​ reshapes the technical staff ⁤following his return to⁤ lead CSKA, and ‌signals⁤ a potential restructuring of the club’s analytical approach.

Stoyanov’s career includes a important‍ connection to CSKA, initially ⁤as ⁢a player in‍ their youth system from 2002 to 2008. Following studies‌ in⁣ the united Kingdom, where he worked​ with Loreto ⁣College and​ Stockport Dainamus, he‍ returned to CSKA in ⁤December 2020 as an assistant coach.

He⁤ served as an assistant within the CSKA academy for ⁢the under-19 ​and under-15 ​teams during the 2021/22 season. ⁢A brief stint with Alan ⁤Pardew’s first-team headquarters in April 2022 was followed⁢ by a return to the academy. In 2023, Stoyanov worked with CSKA 1948, serving as both an analyst and assistant coach.

Prior to rejoining CSKA‌ in April 2024 ​as a general analyst ‌and ⁣innovation specialist under Dusan Kerkez, he held a position at ⁣the September‌ School and assisted​ the Bulgarian women’s national team. His ‍most ⁣recent assignment​ was with Kerkez’s staff before Yanev’s decision.
