Red Hat has certified HashiCorp Vault Secret Store CSI (Container Storage Interface) for OpenShift, enabling OpenShift pods to directly access secrets stored in Vault. While complete integration is still in progress, according to Armon Dagdar, this certification represents a significant step toward secure secret management within OpenShift environments.
HashiCorp’s Boundary product now features automated password insertion for remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) connections. This allows users to initiate RDP sessions without needing to no or manually enter passwords, enhancing security and user convenience by having Boundary automatically inject credentials with a single click.
