Caroline Ithurbide Expecting Third Child at 45, Announces Pregnancy Live on Air
French journalist Caroline Ithurbide revealed she is pregnant with her third child during a live broadcast, sharing the news with co-host Pascal Praud. The announcement comes as Ithurbide,a former columnist for Cyril Hanouna,continues her work with Praud,and follows a recent similar announcement from colleague Gauthier Le Bret.
Ithurbide, 45, playfully acknowledged the potential reaction to her pregnancy, specifically regarding her age. “You mean my age? Late? Yes, you have to talk about my age,” she stated, before Praud interjected to praise her “desire [and] courage” in choosing to have a child at this stage in her life. Ithurbide responded with a pragmatic outlook, joking she plans to “put the whole mental load on the father.”
The expectant mother also revealed the baby will be a girl. Ithurbide married Polo Anid in 2022, and this child will be their first together. She referenced Le Bret’s recent fatherhood as inspiration, stating, “You inspired me.” Praud preemptively noted the pregnancy would likely be a topic of conversation, to wich Ithurbide responded, “No, but go ahead, put your feet in the dish, I don’t care.”
