Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Coming to Switch 2 in February 2026
SEGA has announced that Yakuza Kiwami 3 – including the new story Dark Ties – will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 in February 2026. Digital pre-orders are live now, with physical pre-orders to follow in the coming days. This marks the latest installment in the Yakuza series to arrive on nintendo platforms, following previous releases of Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut.
Originally released on PlayStation 3 in 2009, Yakuza 3 has been “reimagined with cutting-edge visuals and modern technology” for this new release. The game features an expanded Okinawa setting, enhanced battles, additional cutscenes, and replayable minigames. Dark Ties offers a separate narrative, following Yoshitaka Mine’s journey from venture company founder to yakuza member as he seeks connection after loss, with his path ultimately intersecting with Kazuma Kiryu’s.
The announcement follows the release of Yakuza Kiwami on the Switch eShop last October, and precedes the November launch of Yakuza Kiwami and yakuza Kiwami 2 for the switch 2. physical releases for Yakuza Kiwami 1 & 2 on the Switch 2 have also been confirmed, utilizing Game-Key Card formats.
