Whitefish to Discuss Key Infrastructure Updates to 2007 Growth Policy
Whitefish residents will have an opportunity to weigh in on proposed updates to the city’s growth policy, specifically focusing on water and sewer infrastructure, during a work session on October 1st. The meeting comes as the city re-evaluates its long-term development plans, with the current growth policy dating back to 2007.
The work session will address elements crucial to managing future development, including land use, housing, infrastructure, the environment, and natural resources. A growth Policy serves as the foundation for zoning regulations and outlines the city’s vision for the future. The proposed chapter updates are now available for public review.
The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Arches Conference Room on the second floor of Whitefish City Hall, located at 418 E. Second St. Public participation is available both in person and remotely via Microsoft teams, using Meeting ID 240 582 184 483 2 and Passcode JT6ES6kW.
Residents can review the draft chapter and subscribe for updates at www.engagewhitefish.com. A recording of the meeting will be posted on the website within a few days. For further data, contact Whitefish City Planner Alan Tiefenbach at [email protected] or 406-863-2413.
