Los Angeles’ Arts District welcomes a taste of London with the arrival of Berenjak, a celebrated Iranian restaurant known for its coal-grilled meats and vibrant atmosphere. The new location,opening today,September 24,2024,marks the first U.S. outpost for the Soho House-backed eatery.
Berenjak’s expansion signals a growing demand for authentic regional cuisine in Los Angeles, offering diners a unique culinary experience beyond typical Persian fare. the restaurant aims to recreate the bustling, convivial atmosphere of Tehran‘s conventional grill houses, bringing a new energy to the DTLA dining scene. Founded in London in 2018 by Kymberley anne and Bartek Sloma, Berenjak quickly gained recognition for its focus on lesser-known Iranian dishes and its commitment to quality ingredients. The menu centers around dishes cooked over a coal grill, including koobideh (minced lamb kebabs), joojeh (chicken), and barg (filet mignon).
