Paris, France – the football world awaits tonight as the 2024/2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony unfolds at the Shatle Theater in Paris. The event, broadcast live on bTV Action and the Voyo.bg platform at 10:00 pm, will recognize the season’s top performers across multiple categories.
The Ballon d’Or, awarded to the best football player in the world, is considered the sport’s most prestigious individual honor. This year’s ceremony marks a shift in timing, taking place earlier than its traditional post-Christmas date. Beyond the coveted Golden Ball, awards will be presented to the best female player, top coaches (men’s and women’s), best goalkeepers (both sexes), best young talents, and best teams. Special recognition will also be given to Europe’s leading goal scorer and for excellence in Sports Management.
Serbian football legends Dragan “Pixie” Stojkovic and Predrag Mijatovic joined nominee Nikola Kovac on the red carpet, paying tribute to past winners like Stoichkov, who claimed the Golden Ball in 1994.
the winners are determined by a jury comprised of selected journalists from the top 100 UEFA-ranked nations, evaluating performance throughout the 2024/2025 season.
