Slippery Rock Women’s soccer Dominates California (PA), 5-0
CALIFORNIA, PA – The Slippery Rock University women’s soccer team secured a commanding 5-0 victory over California University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, continuing their strong start to PSAC West play. The win marked the 23rd career victory for goalkeeper Leah Allman, who also recorded her 15th career shutout.
The decisive win underscores Slippery Rock’s offensive prowess and defensive solidity as thay navigate a competitive PSAC West schedule.This victory positions them favorably in the conference standings and builds momentum as they prepare for upcoming challenges.The Rock utilized a deep roster, playing 29 of their 34 players in the contest.
Slippery Rock opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a goal from forward Emily Palermo, assisted by Abby paterline. This goal ended a streak of california conceding no first-half goals in 2025. Forward Olivia Salisbury extended the lead with goals in the 51st and 58th minutes, the second assisted by Palermo.
Lindsey Price added another goal in the 67th minute, assisted by Eden Williams, and Allie Burns capped off the scoring in the 84th minute with her first career goal, going unassisted.
Slippery Rock dominated possession and offensive opportunities, finishing with a 10-0 advantage in shots and an 8-0 edge in shots on goal. Leah Allman secured the win in goal for The Rock.
Slippery Rock will continue PSAC West play at 4 p.m. Wednesday against Clarion at James Egli Field.
