NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – A shooting at Sky Meadow Country Club in nashua on Saturday resulted in one fatality and left multiple individuals injured, according to authorities.
New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella and Nashua Police Chief Kevin Rourke confirmed the deceased is an adult male. Initial reports suggesting two suspects were incorrect; police have detained one adult male at the scene and stated there is no ongoing threat to public safety. The conditions of those wounded are currently unknown.
The incident prompted a significant emergency response, with aerial footage from WMUR-TV showing numerous responders converging on the country club. U.S. Representative Maggie Goodlander released a statement expressing her concern and offering support to those affected, stating she was “closely monitoring” the situation and her “heart was with the victims, their families and the entire community.”
Nashua is located approximately 45 miles (70 kilometers) northwest of Boston, in the southern portion of New Hampshire, bordering Massachusetts. Further details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
