Suspect in Custody Following Shooting at New Hampshire Country Club
Nashua, NH - A shooting at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire, left multiple people injured Saturday, prompting a shelter-in-place order for residents in nearby Dunstable, Massachusetts, as authorities searched for the suspect. The suspect is now in custody,Nashua police confirmed.
The incident occurred at the country club, wich was hosting a wedding at the time of the shooting. Details remain limited, but the event prompted an immediate and large-scale response from local and state law enforcement. The Sheraton Nashua hotel was designated as a meeting point for those affected.
Authorities initially urged residents to avoid the Sky Meadow area. As a precaution,the Dunstable Emergency Management Agency issued a shelter-in-place order,instructing residents to close doors and windows,refrain from allowing entry to strangers,and remain indoors until further notice.
New Hampshire Representative Maggie Goodland stated via X, “My heart is with the victims, their families and the entire community of Nashua while we expect more data.”
Sky Meadow Country Club is a private club that hosts various events, including weddings, along with its golf course. Nashua is located approximately 45 minutes from Boston, near the Massachusetts border.
