FIFA master Retains Top Ranking as Europe‘s Leading Sports Management Course
The International Center for Sport Studies’ (CIES) International Master (MA) in Management, Law adn Humanities of Sport - widely known as the FIFA Master – has been confirmed as the number one ranked postgraduate course in Europe for a 13th time in 14 years, according to the latest Postgraduate Rankings (PGR) 2025. The program also secured a fourth-place ranking globally, mirroring its performance in the previous year.
Established in 2000, the FIFA Master is a pan-European program welcoming a cohort of up to 32 students annually. The intensive,one-year curriculum is delivered across three prestigious institutions: De Montfort University in Leicester,SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan,and the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland.
The course boasts an notable employment rate, with nearly 90% of its almost 700 alumni from over 120 countries currently working within the international sports industry. notably, the FIFA Master achieved a higher employment score at the 12-month mark than the top three overall courses in the rankings.
CIES itself celebrated its 30th anniversary alongside the FIFA Master’s 25th anniversary milestone spanning 2024-25. The program’s success is further underscored by its strong alumni and industry networks.
