During the argument with Jenner,Ye expressed frustration over perceived lack of support following a hospitalization. “No one in this family is taking any obligation for my hospital visit,” he stated, adding, “If you look online, that’s 50 percent of what people say, at least. Am I lying?”

The documentary, directed by Nico Ballesteros, also includes footage from after Ye’s 2018 Saturday Night Live appearance, where he faced backlash for wearing a MAGA hat. In the clip, SNL cast member Michael che confronted Ye, saying, “Airing it out like that without letting us be able to reply is kinda foul…You a hero to us.We love you, seriously. That’s wrong to do to us.”
Beyond the confrontation with Jenner and Che, In Whose Name? explores Ye’s 2020 presidential campaign, the dissolution of his marriage to Kim Kardashian, and instances of anti-Semitic rhetoric.
