Hollywood Photographer and Actor Brad Young Dies at 46
brad Young, a versatile talent known for his work both behind and in front of the camera, has died. he was 46. Young transitioned from a budding acting career with appearances in popular television shows and films to become a sought-after celebrity photographer, capturing images for leading publications like The Hollywood Reporter, Vanity Fair, and Vogue.
Young’s career spanned multiple creative disciplines. While establishing himself as a photographer documenting Hollywood’s elite – including David harbour, Seth Green, and Sarah Michelle Gellar – he simultaneously maintained a presence as an actor, accumulating credits in projects such as Boy Meets World, Felicity, Love & Basketball (2000), and Jurassic Park III (2001).
Born July 24, 1979, in Danville, Virginia, Young initially pursued a path toward medical school after graduating from Averett University. However, a move to Los Angeles and a quick acting booking altered his trajectory. “L.A. was just the place where I could make those decisions with all the job opportunities the town offered,” he recalled in a 2015 interview. “In the first month here, I went out on my first audition for a TV series, booked it, joined the Screen Actors Guild, and the rest was history.”
Beyond his artistic endeavors, Young founded Dream Loud Official, a grassroots association dedicated to supporting music and art programs in schools. He believed “creativity is not a luxury but an essential part of education,” and aimed to inspire students and communities through the initiative.
“Brad’s passion for both the arts and the people behind them was unmatched,” said a statement from Christensen. ”He lived his mission of keeping creativity alive,and his legacy will continue through dream Loud Official.”
