‘America’s Got Talent’ Semifinals Send Five Acts Home, Set Stage for September 23 Finale
Five acts were eliminated from America’s Got Talent during teh September 16 Semifinals episode, narrowing the field to the finalists who will compete for the grand prize next week. The acts sent home were Bay Melnick Virgolino, Unreal, Birmingham youth Fellowship Choir, TT Boys, and Zak Mirz.
This week’s eliminations follow a live show featuring performances from remaining contenders including Team Recycled, who received Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer, and singer-songwriter Steve Ray Ladson, who earned Sofía Vergara’s Golden Buzzer. The finalists will perform one last time on Tuesday, September 23, with voting opening at 6 p.m. ET. AGT will crown its Season 20 winner the following night, September 24, and is expected to include performances from past favorites.
