Metro Trains Sydney’s Rolf Samonte Among Finalists for 2025 Next CIO Award
SYDNEY – The finalists for the 2025 Next CIO Award, a key recognition within the CIO50 Australia program, have been announced, spotlighting emerging leaders poised for senior ICT roles. Among those vying for the title is Rolf Samonte, Head of ICT & Cyber Security at Metro Trains Sydney.
The Next CIO award acknowledges individuals exceeding expectations and driving innovation within their organizations. Samonte’s nomination recognizes his delivery of transformative projects at Metro Trains Sydney, strengthening cyber resilience, modernizing infrastructure, and embedding secure-by-design innovation, drawing on his 15+ years of experience in ICT and cyber security.
He is joined as a finalist by igor Gjorgjioski, Senior Product Lead at VicRoads, who is leading digital transformation initiatives for millions of Victorians, and Victor Raham, Head of IT at Atturra, focused on cybersecurity, cloud optimisation, and enterprise IT governance.
The winner will be revealed at the CIO50 and CSO30 Awards Gala Celebration at Doltone House, Sydney, on September 23. The awards are produced by CIO & CSOonline – Foundry.
