He passed away peacefully at his home in Napa, California, on October​ 24, 2023, according to​ his​ publicist,⁤ Cindi‌ Berger. Redford’s⁢ death ⁣marks the end of an era and leaves a void in the world of cinema, remembered for his roles in classics like Butch⁣ Cassidy and the⁤ Sundance Kid, ‌ The Sting, and out of Africa, as well​ as his pioneering work behind the camera ⁢with the ⁢Sundance ​Institute.
