Aselsan Unveils Korkut 100/25 SB Counter-drone System at DSEI 2025
LONDON – Aselsan showcased its Korkut 100/25 SB mobile counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) to an international audience for the first time at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025 exhibition, held in London September 9-12. The system’s debut signals a growing emphasis on rapidly deployable, integrated defenses against the escalating threat of small and micro unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The emergence of inexpensive, readily available drones has created new vulnerabilities for military and civilian infrastructure. The Korkut 100/25 SB is designed to address this challenge by providing both soft-kill and hard-kill capabilities in a highly mobile platform. Aselsan confirmed to Janes at DSEI 2025 that the system will be integrated into Türkiye’s Steel Dome air defence program, bolstering the nation’s layered defense architecture.
Mounted on a 4×4 vehicle, the Korkut 100/25 SB utilizes a combination of radar and electro-optic sensors to achieve real-time detection, automatic tracking, and engagement of UAVs. The system’s fire control software is powered by artificial intelligence algorithms, enabling it to effectively counter both individual drones and coordinated swarm attacks.
The system employs 25 mm Atom smart airburst ammunition, also developed by Aselsan, to neutralize targets flying at low altitudes and exhibiting high maneuverability.A remotely operated turret, equipped with day/thermal cameras and a laser rangefinder, provides operators with enhanced situational awareness and precision targeting capabilities.
