Zach Bryan Confronts ‍Fellow Musician Gavin Adcock at Oklahoma​ Festival

oologah, OK ‍ – A ​physical altercation nearly⁣ occurred‍ between country music artists‍ Zach Bryan⁢ and Gavin Adcock‍ at ⁤a music festival in Oklahoma on April 27, 2024, according to ​videos circulating on ⁤social media and statements from both musicians. The incident unfolded⁣ hours before Adcock was scheduled to perform.

The dispute began⁢ when Bryan reportedly confronted Adcock about his ⁢location,allegedly seeking⁢ him out among other artists throughout the day. According to Adcock,Bryan arrived at the‌ festival ⁣grounds and,after seeing Adcock between buses and later on⁢ his tour bus while watching a football game,began ‍asking other artists,”Where’s Gavin? Where’s ‌Gavin?” Bryan then approached a fence separating Adcock’s group from‍ Bryan and demanded,”Fight like a ⁣man? Open ⁣the gate,” before‍ physically shoving the barrier.

Adcock detailed ‌the escalating situation ​in a video posted to Instagram, stating Bryan ‌then ⁢drove⁣ a truck ‍to the other side of ‍the fence.”No artist who cares about⁣ their fans is⁢ going ​to fight right before⁤ their set,missing‌ going on and disappointing fans ⁣who ‌spent way too ⁣much money to be there,” Adcock said. He‌ further explained he avoided engaging in a physical fight ​to avoid legal repercussions and missing his performance. video footage shows Bryan later jumping over⁢ the fence, despite the presence of‍ barbed wire.

The incident follows a public ⁣exchange between the two musicians​ in July 2023, where Adcock criticized Bryan’s response ⁤to a 14-year-old fan‍ on X (formerly Twitter). Adcock posted, “If you can’t handle ⁤the criticism of a‍ 14 year old why do people idolize you?” ⁢adding that ​the fan and his parents had invested ​notable money to see ​Bryan perform.

As of April 28, 2024, Bryan has not publicly addressed ‍the festival confrontation or ⁢Adcock’s statements. Adcock is a Georgia native, while Bryan is from Oologah, Oklahoma. ‍Both artists are rising stars in the country music scene, with Bryan achieving ⁢widespread recognition for hits like “Something in⁢ the Orange” and Adcock gaining‍ traction with songs ​like “Last One to ⁤Know.”
