Borderlands 4 Patch Issues: PC Performance Problems Persist

Borderlands 4’s ​First​ patch Addresses performance, But PC Issues ‍persist

A first update for Borderlands 4 has rolled out on PC aiming to improve stability, but reports of⁤ ongoing performance problems – including crashes and stuttering – continue to flood in from players. Gearbox Software’s CEO previously cautioned teh game would be demanding, yet the extent of ⁣the issues following launch surprised many.

The patch, detailed in release notes on the official Borderlands website, is intended to enhance stability “on a wide range ‌of computers.” gearbox ‌notes ⁣players will need to undergo a full Shader Hercompilation – a process potentially taking up to 15 minutes ‍- after applying the‍ update. Console ‌players on PlayStation and Xbox are still awaiting the patch, despite also experiencing crashes and stuttering.

Gearbox is also ⁢directing NVIDIA users to ⁤an official optimization guide with recommended ‌settings and the latest‌ Game Ready Driver 581.29.⁣ However, a growing number of users on Steam report the patch has not resolved thier issues. Some continue to experience crashes, others report increased stuttering, and a few have even claimed to have lost character skins.

As of this writing, Gearbox has not publicly addressed these new reports, but has stated⁤ that further updates are planned.
