Mencho’s Knee Injury: Challenge Fallout & Recovery

Desafío 21″ Competitor Mencho‌ Suffers Knee Injury, Battles Through Tears During Challenge

BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA – Mencho, a member of the gamma team on the reality competition Desafío 21, sustained ‍a knee injury during the “sentence, prize and punishment” challenge, forcing him to withdraw from the immediate competition and receive medical ​attention. The incident occurred after a fall within ‍the​ honeycomb structure of the ⁤challenge, ⁣leaving Mencho unable to walk without assistance⁢ and visibly distraught.

The injury happened ‌as mencho attempted to descend with ⁢his team’s orange ball, falling “In Punta” – on‌ the tip of his foot -⁣ according to his account. Despite the pain, Mencho ⁣demonstrated resilience, stating through tears​ to host Andrea Serna, “Sad, the truth. I am a sports soldier and⁣ today fate played a bad ⁤pass.​ I am with many ‌feelings found, but despite this I believe that I showed the team that an injury will not make⁣ me faint.I gave everything and ​I have a motto: ‘They win ​me with the shoes force’.” ​

Back at the house, Mencho clarified that the injury stemmed from an improper fall, explaining, “I fell badly, I did not ⁤fall⁢ as it was, I felt‍ that it stretched me something and right now ⁣the paramedics shoudl come. Sorry, excuse me, I did ⁣not faint, I gave⁢ everything.” ⁣Fellow competitor Deisy, from Alpha, expressed sympathy, noting Mencho’s⁤ visible distress.Despite some teammates ​potentially questioning the severity of his pain, Mencho maintained he never considered giving up.

Mencho has​ accepted he will receive the⁤ first women’s cycle vest as‍ a consequence of being unable to complete the challenge, but vowed to⁢ approach‍ it‍ with ​a positive attitude.⁤
