Dermatologist Reveals 3⁣ Key Products for Youthful Skin after 50

New York, NY – As skin ⁣ages, firmness and elasticity naturally decline, but a leading dermatologist says⁤ a simple three-pronged approach can considerably combat these effects. Dr. Lindsey Zububitsky, known as @dermguru on TikTok, recently shared ⁤her essential recommendations for⁢ maintaining youthful, toned skin⁤ after age 50.

The advice, relayed by Femme Actuelle, centers around⁣ consistent sun protection, daily hydration with retinol, and gentle exfoliation. These steps, dr. Zububitsky explains, work synergistically to address ‌common concerns like ‍wrinkles and loss of firmness.

“If you ‍expose yourself to the sun every ‍day, you will undergo a loss of collagen, which will appear wrinkles‍ and imperfections,” Dr. Zububitsky cautioned. She stresses the importance of a broad-spectrum SPF⁢ 30⁤ sunscreen, reapplied every two hours to all exposed skin.

Beyond sun protection, daily hydration is⁣ crucial. Dr. Zububitsky advocates for skincare containing retinol, a well-known anti-aging ingredient. ‌”As hydrated skin is a skin that will have a healthy appearance,” she added, explaining that retinol smooths skin, stimulates cell renewal, and prevents sagging.

Dr. Zububitsky recommends a gentle scrub to improve skin texture. “It is indeed‌ necessary to exfoliate gently so as not to risk burning the skin,” she advises,⁣ suggesting soft acid-based scrubs such as lactic or glycolic acid which smooth without irritation.Exfoliation also enhances the absorption of subsequent skincare products, leading to softer, brighter, and visibly rejuvenated skin. This step should be incorporated once or ‍twice a week⁢ after‍ showering, on damp skin.
