rising Country Star Lakelin Lemmings Celebrates Small-Town Life with New Single “Parking Lot

Nashville, TN – Lakelin Lemmings has released “Parking Lot,” her second single with Stone Country records, a nostalgic waltz celebrating the unexpected social hub of rural life. The song, co-written with Tiffany goss and producer Ash Bowers, draws inspiration from real-life experiences and the significance of seemingly mundane spaces for young people.”The parking lot in a small town on Friday, shortly before sunset.You come and go there because there is nothing else to do… the parking lot in a small town,” Lemmings explains,capturing the essence of the song’s theme. “It is the friends you meet there who make it something special, but I wanted to write a song that shows some love for rural parking spaces,” she adds. “A song for all my friends and everyone else in our age who know what it is like to live in a small town, sometimes not to have a better place to hang out than the parking lot, and all the memories you collect there.”

“Parking Lot” follows Lemmings’ debut single with Stone country Records, “American Dreamin’,” which was lauded by Country Evolution as showcasing “one of the most promising new voices of Country music” and praised by Entertainment Focus for her “powerful voice and catchy stories.”

The 19-year-old Lemmings began performing at talent shows and festivals at age six, and was writng and recording her own music in Nashville by age twelve. She signed her first publishing contract in Music City at 17 and amassed over 100,000 followers on TikTok before signing with Stone Country Records in June.

Raised in a musical family – her father is a touring guitarist – Lemmings’ musical influences span generations,from country icons Dolly Parton,Reba McEntire,Loretta Lynn,and Lee Ann Womack to contemporary stars Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood,as well as a “good portion of pop of the nineties.”
