Ukraine Expresses Gratitude to Poland During Wrocław Match
Wrocław, Poland – A message of thanks from the Ukrainian national football team to the people of Poland was displayed on advertising boards during their Euro 2024 qualifying match against France at the Tarczyński Arena in Wrocław on Tuesday. The Ukrainian team, currently unable to host international matches in their home country, is utilizing Polish stadiums for their qualifying campaign, a practice they’ve extended to previous competitions including Conference League matches in Lublin and Krakow, as well as earlier rounds for the World Championships.
The display,reading “We thank Poland for hospitality,” appeared throughout the match,acknowledging the support Poland has provided by hosting Ukrainian international fixtures. This isn’t a one-time gesture; social media user Piotr Słonka, known as ”Buckaroobanzai,” noted that the Ukrainian team routinely expresses gratitude to Poland for its hospitality during every match played within the country.

Ukraine’s next qualifying match is an away game against Azerbaijan on September 9th. Azerbaijan lost their first qualifying match against Iceland 0-5. Ukraine is grouped wiht France, Azerbaijan, and Iceland in the Euro 2024 qualifying stage.
