Samsung Health App Gains Telehealth, Prescription & Fitness Features
Samsung is expanding the capabilities of its Health app through new partnerships with HealthTap, Walgreens, and iFIT, bringing telehealth visits, enhanced prescription management, and expert-guided workouts directly to users. The updates, announced by Samsung Mobile press, aim to provide more seamless access to healthcare and fitness resources.
Starting September 8,Samsung Health users will be able to access virtual doctor visits powered by HealthTap’s Find Care platform. The feature will also allow users to manage appointments and submit follow-up questions.
Prescription management will be improved through integration with Walgreens, enabling users to connect to pharmacies, track medications, and compare prescription history. Samsung notes the prescription management interface has been redesigned.
Fitness enthusiasts will gain access to “premium fitness content” from iFIT, including high-intensity interval training and recovery routines categorized by trending workouts and seasonal recommendations.
It remains unclear whether subscriptions to the partner services will be required to access the new features.
