Bus Simulator “Bus Bound” Delivers Authentic Driving Experience, Despite developer Taunts
TAIPEI – A new bus simulator, Bus Bound, aims to immerse players in the life of a transit driver, offering a surprisingly rich driving experience even for those unfamiliar with the intricacies of shuttle buses. A recent hands-on preview revealed a game focused on the core joy of driving, even if it means enduring playful ribbing from the growth team for less-than-perfect passenger drop-offs.
While Bus Bound features a 4-player collaboration mode adn a customizable bus fleet – features not fully explored in the preview – the game distinguishes itself through its dedication to realistic bus representation. The developers clearly consulted with enthusiasts, resulting in a diverse and accurately modeled selection of vehicles. However, players seeking deep management simulation may find Bus Bound less engaging than titles prioritizing logistical control.
The previewer noted that Bus Bound prioritizes the feeling of being behind the wheel. “Even if you can’t use speed bumps as mini ramps and have to satisfy your passengers, driving safely in the Bus bound is also a pleasure,” they wrote, adding that the game ”will open your eyes to why people love these games and will continue to do so.” Despite lacking extensive experience with the bus simulator genre, the reviewer found the game provided a “pleasant journey.”
