TULSA, Okla. – The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs women’s soccer team suffered a 1-0 defeat to Oral Roberts on Sunday, concluding a challenging road match in Tulsa. The loss marks the Bulldogs’ third consecutive defeat during a five-match road trip.
The decisive goal came from Oral Roberts, holding Louisiana Tech scoreless despite efforts from Peyton Wiseman and Ashley Leonhart, who each recorded two shots.Leonhart managed the Bulldogs’ only shot on goal. Jasmine Walia made her debut appearance for louisiana Tech, playing 37 minutes off the bench.
Goalkeeper Cadence Rutledge delivered a standout performance, achieving a new career high wiht 14 saves – her second career match with double-digit saves. She previously recorded 10 saves against Texas A&M on September 8, 2024, where she achieved a then-career high of 12 saves.
The Bulldogs will continue their road trip next week, facing No.17 Mississippi State in Starkville on Thursday, september 4 at 6:30 p.m. CT, and Southern Miss in Hattiesburg on Sunday, September 7 at 1 p.m. CT.
