Zeteo‘s Documentary on Palestinian Child Hind Rajab Receives Prestigious Award
Zeteo’s short film documenting the final days of six-year-old Hind Rajab, a Palestinian girl killed during Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza, has been honored with a Silver Screen Award at the Cannes World Film Festival. The 15-minute documentary, released earlier this month, meticulously reconstructs Hind’s desperate plea for rescue as she and her family where trapped in a besieged vehicle amidst intense fighting.
The award underscores the growing international attention to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza and the urgent need for accountability regarding civilian casualties. Filmmakers Prem and producer Lara strydom, alongside the Zeteo team, dedicated themselves to Hind’s story as a stark representation of the plight faced by countless children in the region. The film serves as a powerful call to action, demanding scrutiny of complicity and a commitment to in-depth journalism amidst conflict. It is indeed currently available for free public viewing.
