Talladega College Women’s Soccer Favored to Capture HBCUAC Championship
Talladega, AL – The talladega College women’s soccer team has been overwhelmingly selected as the preseason favorite to win the HBCUAC title for the 2025 season.The Tornadoes received all six first-place votes from the league’s head coaches, signaling high expectations for the program following a accomplished 2024 campaign.
This designation underscores Talladega College’s growing prominence in HBCU athletics and sets the stage for a competitive season within the HBCUAC. The team’s success reflects a commitment to athletic excellence and provides an exciting prospect for both players and fans. Leading the charge for the tornadoes is forward Annalisa Vincent, who has been named the HBCUAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
Vincent earned the honor after a breakout 2024 season were she scored 11 goals and added three assists, earning All-CAC First Team recognition. Her offensive prowess makes her a key player to watch.
Defensively, Talladega will rely on the strength of Reba Stott, who led the team in minutes played last season, and gabrielle Bryan, a vocal leader who anchors the back line. Adding to the team’s offensive depth is Cycoiah Whatley, who scored seven goals and finished with 15 points in 2024. Midfielder Faith Alexander, an RRAC All-Freshman Team selection, is expected to contribute with her creativity and control.
